I didn’t realize I needed coaching. I’m not the most emotionally developed person, and I’m ok with that. Avoidance is easy, let’s be real. I started coaching with Genna through a particularly tough part of my life - I was facing a failed marriage and had no idea how to process it. To be honest, I dreaded every part about therapy and coaching. I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t see the benefits of doing it. And I only took a chance on Genna because she seemed authentic, and open-minded.
Now, I find myself practicing the pause, mostly so that I understand my own emotions (I’m slow). But also, I truly feel more in control of my emotions, and I understand them a lot better.
As a naysayer, I want to share my experience because it has surpassed all of my expectations, seriously ten-fold. This has been a very enriching experience in my life, and I want others to consider it.
